Product Description

Common use
Levitra is used to treat erectile dysfunction.
Generic Levitra works by relaxing the penile muscles, which increases blood flow and promotes erections.
Vardenafil is the active ingredient in Levitra. This drug has been on the market since 2003 and is available in the United States only by prescription. The medication is taken as needed, about an hour before intercourse.

Dosage and Directions
The recommended dose of Levitra is 10 mg per day, taken one hour before intercourse. If there are no side effects, the dose can be increased to 20 mg. If side effects occur, the dose is reduced to 5 mg per day. Do not take more than one Levitra tablet per day.

The effects of Levitra have not been studied in people with cardiovascular disease, but it is preferable to avoid taking Levitra for patients who have had a stroke or heart failure, or a history of heart attack, especially within the last six months.
Be sure to consult your doctor before taking Levitra, especially if you have kidney or liver problems, peptic ulcer or hereditary retinal disease, or if you have conditions that contribute to priapism (sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, leukemia or leukemia). circulatory disorders, allergic reactions to this drug or any other medications, penile deformities such as angulation, cavernous fibrosis (Peyronie's disease).

Do not take Levitra if you are hypersensitive to the components of the drug, if you are being treated with organic nitrates, if you are under 16 years of age, and if you are taking HIV protease inhibitors such as ritonavir and indinavir.

Possible side effects
Most of the time, Levitra is well tolerated, and side effects, if any, are transient. The most common side effects are: diarrhea, nausea, hyperemia (facial hyperemia), headache, dizziness, nasal congestion.
More rare: watery eyes, photosensitivity of the skin, back pain, hypotension, myalgia, hypertension, priapism.

Drug Interactions
Levitra metabolism is inhibited by erythromycin, ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), indinavir (Crixivan) and ritonavir (Norvir). Levitra reduces the concentration of ritonavir and indinavir. In patients treated with nitrates, Levitra may increase chest pain by increasing heart rate and decreasing blood pressure. Levitra can increase the effect of alpha-blockers (terazosin or guitrin) that lower blood pressure. Levitra should never be prescribed to patients treated with organic nitrates.

Missed Dose
Levitra is used as needed when taken to treat erectile dysfunction. Therefore, a missed dose is not allowed.

Symptoms of Levitra overdose: chest pain or discomfort, decreased vision, blindness, blurred vision, back, jaw, arm pain.
Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you think you have consumed too high a dose of this drug.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Store at room temperature 15-30 C (59-86 F) away from children, pets, moisture, and sunlight.
